Alex Curr Places 5^th in Discus at NYS Track and Field Championships
Continuing his remarkable run of success, F-P senior Alex Curr placed 5^th overall in the discus throw for Division 2 in the New York State Track and Field Championships on June 10^th at CNS High School.  Alex threw 144’10”, nearly matching his personal best. 

Alex’s 5^th place finish in all of New York State Division 2 schools adds to his already impressive resume from this season.  Alex took 5^th in the discus at the CBA Invitational on May 6^th, and took 1^st in discus at the Weedsport Invitational on May 14^th.  He was also the OHSL Patriot League Champion in the discus.  In addition, at the State Qualifiers on June 3^rd, Alex broke the school record in the discus with his throw of 146’7”.  The record, previously held by Wes Carr, had stood since 1957.
